Brussels Airlines Baggage Allowance
Passengers of the airline are allowed to take a piece of luggage with the dimensions of 55 cm x 40 cm x 23 cm on board. The total weight on all routes must not exceed an upper limit of 6 12 kg in Economy and 16 kg in Business Class (which can be divided into two pieces in the latter). In addition, regardless of the class of transport, passengers can take other private items on board, such as binoculars, baby food and important medicines that are needed during the flight, as well as a fanny pack, a briefcase or a laptop.
The baggage regulations for suitcases and backpacks that are checked in at the counter are not structured uniformly. The flight connections, the flight length, the type of booking and the booking class have too much an impact on both the number and the total weight of the luggage. Basically, it can be said that on most short-haul flights 23 kg are permitted in economy class and 32 kg in business class. While in the first booking class only the first piece of luggage is free and the second involves a fee as part of the task – with the exception of the Check & Go tariff class available on intra-European routes, which does not contain free baggage – in Business Class there are two pieces of luggage on almost all connections Toll-free. For each piece of luggage, that the sum of its external dimensions must not exceed 158 cm. Otherwise, fees for oversize, possibly also for overweight, are due.
If you want to take other luggage, such as sports equipment or musical instruments, on the Brussels Airlines flight, you have to expect fees in most cases. These are at least 50 euros on European and Israel flights, provided that the special baggage cannot be accommodated in the regular baggage. For long-haul flights, the fees can be three to four times higher. On the other hand, ski or snowboard equipment can be carried free of charge (does not apply to transatlantic connections and for flights with the Check & Go tariff class).

As a “Bizz & Class” passenger, you always benefit from free meals. You can reserve your preferred menu online up to 48 hours before departure, and you can choose between different hot or cold dishes depending on the flight duration. You will also receive a welcome drink and Belgian chocolates. On long-haul flights, there is a choice of various menus from top Belgian chefs as well as first-class cheese and dessert creations.
Children and nutritionists
