About Hong Kong Airlines
The Chinese airline Hong Kong Airlines is based in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The Hong Kong Airlines base is located at Hong Kong-Chek Lap Kok Airport. The airline was founded in 2001 as CR Airways, two years later it started operating. It got its current name in 2006. The airline serves both national and international travel destinations. Hong Kong Airlines currently has a total of 44 Airbus fleets, including 39 passenger aircraft and 5 cargo aircraft.

It has a subsidiary, Hong Kong Express Airways, with which it has a codeshare agreement. In this way, more than 30 Asian destinations can be flown to. Hong Kong Airlines Baggage Allowance
Air travelers can take a piece of hand luggage with a maximum size of 56 x 36 x 23 centimeters and a weight of seven kilograms on board. Infants are excluded.
Neither hand luggage nor checked baggage may contain explosive, flammable or radioactive materials. Firearms and working tools are also prohibited. There is no limit to the number of pieces of luggage. In Business Class, a passenger can carry up to 30 kilograms. In Economy Class it is up to 23 kilograms. Small children are allowed to take a maximum of 10 kg. Members of the Fortune Wings Club can take an extra 20 kg (as a gold member) or 10 kg etxra (as a silver member). It always applies that a piece of luggage must not be larger than 158 centimeters and not heavier than 32 kg. Excess baggage will be charged per additional kilo on a two zone basis.
The transportation of sports equipment can be done within the baggage allowance, everything else is subject to a charge. If musical instruments need their own seat, the airline must be informed in advance.

Select, silver, gold and platinum members of the Fortune Wings Club receive special privileges, including lounge access, priority boarding and additional bonus miles with all participating and cooperating airlines. To obtain this status, registered customers must fly at least 5,000, 30,000, 50,000 and 100,000 miles per year. There are additional benefits for American Express credit card holders if purchased in cooperation with Hainan Airlines.
