About Air Namibia
Air Namibia is a Namibian airline based in the capital, Windhoek. Air Namibia is also the flag carrier of Namibia. The company’s principles are safety, reliability, efficiency and care. The focus is always on the absolute satisfaction of the passengers. For example, the airline has won several awards from the South African airport company ACSA as the best regional airline. The state airline was founded in 1946 as South West Air Transport. In 1991 the name was changed to Air Namibia. The offer consists of scheduled flights to national and international destinations. Most of the destinations are in Africa. These include Johannesburg and Cape Town in South Africa and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
On some flights, passengers have the opportunity to purchase products from a duty free catalog. However, duty-free purchases are not possible on flights to neighboring countries as these are considered regional flights. There are usually two cabin classes on long-haul flights: Economy Class and Business Class. Since 2009 there is a new, fully automated frequent flyer program: reward $. With the miles earned, you can, for example, receive a free ticket, upgrade your ticket from Economy Class to Business Class or pay for excess baggage. Air Namibia has also increased its Internet services and now also offers an online check-in in addition to an electronic ticket.

Air Namibia Classes of Service
With an Air Namibia flight you fly comfortably in Economy Class (Namib-Saver, Namib-Flex ve Namib-Plus) and Business Class. Saver customers fly the cheapest, but do not enjoy the advantages that a Flex or Plus customer has. Those who opt for the plus tariff initially pay more, but will later enjoy lower fees for rebooking.
The service and benefits you can get depend on the booking class. In both classes you have modern, ergonomically shaped seats with a lot of comfort and leg room. In Economy Class, the seats are spaced 78.7 cm apart. The seat width is a comfortable 45.7 cm. In Business Class, you put the seats in a comfortable sleeping position at a 180-degree angle. The well-thought-out arrangement ensures maximum spaciousness and privacy. Additional amenities include various ways to store your personal belongings.
The airline also serves six airports in Namibia and a total of seven airports in Angola, Botswana, Zambia, South Africa and Zimbabwe from Windhoek.
The airline has a codeshare agreement with the following airlines.
|Condor Flugdienst||Kenya Airways||Turkish Airlines|
Air Namibia Check-in
At Air Namibia, passengers can check in at the counter, online and on the go.
The principle of online check-in has proven itself particularly when passengers only travel with hand luggage. In this case, it is possible to print out the ticket directly online, which eliminates the queue at the counter. On the other hand, if baggage is checked in, it may still make sense to check in online beforehand. Mobile check-in is currently only possible via the browser, so the same conditions apply as for online check-in. The airline activates this from 24 to three hours before departure.
Click the button below to check in online.
To check in at the airport, check the closing times of the check-in counter on the Air Namibia website. If you are not at the airport in time, you will not be able to board the plane and you will lose all your rights on the purchased flight ticket.
