Iran Air is the state carrier of Iran, based in Tehran. In 1946 Iran Air was founded under the name Iranian Airways and since 1962 the airline has its current name. Mainly the company offers low-cost flights and scheduled flights, with a dense network of domestic destinations. The company's home airport is Tehran-Imam Khomeini Airport, which also serves as the hub of most of the airline's flights.

The logo of the airplane comes from the Persian mythology bird 'Homa' and gives a name to the luxury segment. Homa bird (Paradise bird) brings joy and happiness - the airline is moving in this direction to meet the needs of its passengers. Homa Class offers First Class service like other airlines class.

The airline is flying seasonally in Hamadan and Zencan cities in Iran and Jeddah and Medina (Haj) in Saudi Arabia.

The countries where the airline is flying abroad are Austria, France, Germany, India, Iraq, Italy, Kuwait, Lebanon, Netherlands, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Sweden, Syria, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and United Kingdom.

The airline has a codeshare agreement with the following airlines.

Iran Air's website does not have an online check-in service.

We recommend you to be at the airport for check-in at least 1.5 hours before domestic flights and 3 hours before international flights.

Anyone who is older than 12 years can earn miles at Skygift , the Iranian airline's bonus program. Points are, however, credited exclusively on international flights so that no domestic flights can be collected. You can also earn miles on Iran Air codeshare partner airlines. There are three membership levels. The Blue Card will receive members already after the first flight. From 25,000 miles or points within one year, the member is automatically upgraded to the Silver Card. A further 25,000 points lead to the Gold Card with particularly attractive bonuses and collection and redemption options.

Benefits for members of Skygift

There are special offices for those who are part of the Skygift program. This means that the tickets can be booked or reserved comfortably without waiting. The boarding pass is also issued without delay at check-in. You go to a special counter without queue. Priority is also given to telephone contact, as a special hotline for Skygift is set up. Gold members also have the privilege of driving from the airport to the city - free of charge. In addition, holders of the Silver or Gold card can check in extra baggage free of charge.
