About Air North
The Air North airline was founded by Joseph Sparling and Thomas Wood in February 1977. It began operations with a Cessna 206 aircraft that can accommodate six people. New Douglas DC-3s and D4 type aircraft, Havillands, Beechcrafts and other Cessnas then quickly joined the company’s fleet. After receiving two Boeings, she opened a route between Whitehorse and Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton. Air North offers charter flights to many Canadian cities.
Now run by Joseph Sparling, one of its two founders, and a development company, Air North is the Yukon’s main airline. It largely contributes to the economy of the region by employing more than two hundred people and tries to meet the expectations of its customers as well as possible by being close to it and by offering them the best possible service at the most interesting price. Air North does not belong to any flight alliance and does not have a frequent flyer program.
