About Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur was founded in 1857 on the site of a camp of Chinese tin miners. From 1880 to 1978, Kuala Lumpur was the capital of the principality of Selangor. In the 1930s, 110 thousand people already lived in the city. From 1946 to 1957, Kuala Lumpur became the main city and administrative center of the English colony.
