Tarom is Romania’s national flag carrier airline. It is located in Otopeni, near the center of Bucharest. The airline, established in 1954, uses Henri CoandÄƒ International Airport as a hub. Iaşi International Airport is the secondary hub. The airline name (Transporturile Aeriene Romane) is from the initials of the name. In 2010, the airline became a member of SkyTeam, a global aviation alliance. In 2016, it has achieved 2.4 million passengers with an occupancy rate of 70%.
In addition to scheduled flights, charter flights are available in certain destinations during the summer months. Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt; In Greece, Korfu, Khandiya, Kamari, Kos, Mykonos, Preveze, Rhodes, Skiathos; Tenerife in Spain; Antalya and Bodrum in Turkey.
