Tarom is Romania’s national flag carrier airline. It is located in Otopeni, near the center of Bucharest. After Brussels Airlines, it is the fastest growing airline in Europe. The company’s origins date back to 1920 when CFRNA was founded and started operating in Romania, and it was not until 1954 that the airline was named Tarom. In 1966 she flew over the Atlantic for the first time, in 1974 to Sydney via Calcutta. The airline, established in 1954, uses Henri Coandă International Airport as a hub. Iaşi International Airport is the secondary hub. The airline name (Transporturile Aeriene Romane) is from the initials of the name. In 2010, the airline became a member of SkyTeam, a global aviation alliance. In 2016, it has achieved 2.4 million passengers with an occupancy rate of 70%.

Tarom Airlines offers 2 classes of service to its passengers:
Check in Baggage with the weight not exceeding 23kg and sandwich or pasta is served are some of the facilities provided to Economy Class passengers.
Champagne, beer other alcohol drinks, a desert after dinner and “Bonus points” for “Flying Blue” members are some of the facilities provided to Business Class passengers.
In addition to scheduled flights, charter flights are available in certain destinations during the summer months. Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt; In Greece, Korfu, Khandiya, Kamari, Kos, Mykonos, Preveze, Rhodes, Skiathos; Tenerife in Spain; Antalya and Bodrum in Turkey.

Tarom Baggage Allowance
A piece of luggage measuring 55 x 40 x 20 cm (Boeing / Airbus machines) or 35 x 30 x 20 cm (ATR machines) may be carried in the cabin as part of the hand luggage. In addition, the carrying of a bag or of an object, such as a laptop or a camera, is permitted, for which the dimensions mentioned also apply. The total weight of the hand luggage should not exceed 10 kg.
A baggage to be carried in the cargo area must not exceed 23 kg and a total of 158 cm. Baggage rights on Tarom airlines vary according to cabin type, loyalty program membership level and flight class. The size of the luggage must not exceed 158cm for adult passengers and 110cm for infant passengers. On all flights, children not older than 2 years are entitled to a 10kg and a collapsible stroller. Four levels of membership make the program special

The level Ivory is considered a basic category and can be claimed by a simple registration. The other three levels are the elite categories. The Silver status provides as a prerequisite the minimum use of 30,000 flight miles for people residing in France, and 25,000 flight miles for persons resident in other countries. Gold is 60,000 and 40,000 miles, and Platinum is 90,000 miles and 70,000 miles respectively.
