MIDDLE EAST AIRLINES FLIGHTS

Middle East Airlines, briefly MEA, was established in Beirut in 1945. Airline is the flag carrier airline. Initially, it made cheap flights to neighboring cities in the Gulf region. Beirut-Rafik Hariri International Airport is used as a hub. In 1963, it merged with Air Lebanon and increased the number of destinations it had flown. Airline is a member of SkyTeam since 2012.

The airline does not have domestic flights. Countries that have flown abroad; Egypt, France, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Iraq, Italy, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Kuwait, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and United Kingdom.

CEDAR MILES FREQUENT FLYER PROGRAM

The Middle East Airlines, which abbreviate as MEA, also see customers and their satisfaction as the focus of their activities in their Cedar Miles frequent flyer program . In this way, the SkyTeam was added to provide customers with additional flight options and a wide-ranging bonus program. Although the frequent flyer program is only offered by the MEA, all airlines of the SkyTeam, the Rotana Hotels and the Bank Audi offer possibilities for collecting and redeeming miles. Premiums include, among other things, freedays and upgrades to the economy class, and there are also numerous special events for participants.

BAGGAGE REGULATIONS

Carry-on baggage

Each passenger may carry a piece of hand luggage of a maximum of ten kilograms and 56 x 40 x 25 centimeters on board. On international flights, a personal item may also be carried on board.

Checked baggage

For most flights of the MEA it is valid that in economy class 30 kg luggage and in Business Class 60 kg may be given. There are exceptions for flights between Beirut and Dusseldorf, Copenhagen or Frankfurt, where 40 Kg of luggage may be given in Economy Class. For flights between Beirut and Abidjian, Accra, Kano or Lagos, the economy class can be 35 kg of luggage and 70 kg of business class. In addition, for flights between Beirut and Athens, Brussels, Geneva, London, Milan, Nice, Paris or Rome, a maximum of 23 kilograms of luggage may be carried in Economy Class and three pieces of luggage of up to 23 kilograms in business class. Members of the Skyteam Elite Plus are always allowed to give up 20 kilos of luggage, and members of the Skyteam Elite may always give up ten kilos of luggage. Children who do not have their own seat may give up to 10 or 15 kilos of luggage (depending on the flight). There are additional regulations for MEA frequent flyers. These travelers are usually allowed to give extra extra luggage.

Other luggage

A sports baggage can be carried free of charge if it is not heavier than 20 or 23 kilograms (depending on the flight). All other luggage costs up to 200 euros per flight distance.
