Flynas About Flynas

Flynas was established in Saudi Arabia in 2007 as a low cost airline. The main center is Riyadh. It is the first low cost airline to be established in Saudi Arabia. The main shareholder of the firm is National Airlines Services Holding with a 63% share. The airline, known as Nas Air until November 2013, was renamed Flynas. The airline uses King Abdullaziz International Airport and King Khalid International Airport as hubs.

The airline first flight took place in July 2008, with a flight between Riyadh and Amman. Then came the rotation between Jeddah and Amman in July 2009. The first international flights took place on April 8, 2014 with a service between Jeddah and London Gatwick, then between Manchester and Jeddah on May 2. But faced with the low level of aircraft occupancy, these international ambitions enden in August.

The year 2018 was marked by many changes. Flynas was looking to attract new customers and welcomed its first pilgrims from India in July. In October 2018, Flynas celebrated the 10th anniversary of his first flight to Jordan. On November 13, the airline received the first of its Airbus A320neo of the 120 it ordered. This was the largest order for aircraft in the Middle East.

Flynas airline has been preferred by 32 million passengers to date due to its low flight prices, schedule performance and flights to exciting destinations.

Flynas Classes of Service

Flynas aircrafts offer 2 types of class. Business Class passengers enjoy their flight in comfortable seats with ample legroom and dedicated staff. The meal consists of real dishes, snacks and drinks offered on request. Travelers can choose between 4 types of fares, Light, Plus, Premium and Business, each offering different benefits. You can choose your seat, your meal paying only in pre-order (breakfast, snacks, dishes, sandwiches …) or the amount of luggage to take away.

Flynas operates more than 1000 flights on a weekly basis and operates 30 domestic and international destination.

The airline has domestic routes to Dammam, Medina, Riyadh, Jeddah, Abha and Al-Jawf, Taif cities; It is flying to Egypt, Kuwait, Sudan, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, BAE (United Arab Emirates) and Turkey on foreign routes.

Flynas has a codeshare agreement with Etihad and Pegasus to access more flight networks.

Important Milestones

Between 2015 and 2018, Flynas received the award for “Best Low-Cost Airline in the Middle East” at the World Travel Awards. In 2017 and 2018, the company was also honored with the title of “Best low-cost airline in the Middle East” during the Skytrax Awards.

Online Check-in

Flynas offers its online check-in directly on the company’s website. All classes can choose seats free of charge from the Flynas airline website , except the light class. You can also choose to what you want to eat when you are doing check in. Check-in starting from 48 hours before the flight and continues until 4 hours prior the scheduled flight.

Airport Check-in

Passengers who want to be check-in at the airport, must finish their operations without closing the check-in desk. If you do not check-in at the specified time, you will lose your right to fly. The check-in desk is opened 5 hours before the departure of the flight and closes by 45 minutes before the flight. We advise you to be at the airport at least 3 hours prior to the departure of your aircraft, as the relevant times may vary from airport to airport. Passengers who have group reservations should be at the airport four hours before the flight departure.

Flynas Baggage Allowance

Carry-on baggage

For hand luggage, you must be able to travel on board. In addition to the allowed hand baggage, it is possible to have a hand bag, a camera, a plastic bag and a laptop computer. The size of the hand baggage must not exceed 7kg in all reservation classes 56 x 26 x 23 cm.

Checked baggage

The right to baggage varies according to the flight class and the flying area in Flynas. The flight class is divided into 4 classes: Light, Plus, Premium and Business. The flying zones are organized according to Domestic and 3 international regions.

The size of your luggage in all classes cannot exceed 75 x 50 x 33 cm. If you have purchased your flight tickets from the Light class and are flying into one of the cities in domestic or group 1, you are not entitled to baggage. You may have to buy luggage for this.

Business class passengers have 2 pieces of 25kg baggage allowance in all destinations as seen in the table above.

Baby passengers are entitled to 10 kg baggage allowance.

Bicycles, surf boards, golf equipment, hunting equipment and Scuba diving equipment are allowed during your journey. Please read the conditions for this on the airline website.

Flynas Seat Selection

You can choose a seat for all classes if you have not purchased a flight light class ticket from Flynas. You can choose your seat when buying your flight tickets. If you have a ticket in the upper classes (Premium) you can choose seat whereever you want on the plane. Standard classes can only select Simple seats.

If you have not chosen your seat, you can also choose the seat when check-in online. You have the opportunity to choose a seat by contacting the call center, we do not recommend if you do not know Arabic.

The reserved seat classes in Flynas airlines are as follows;

Business: For Business Class passengers.

Spacious: Seats in front of the emergency exit. It is comfortable because it has extra legroom.

Super Practical: These seats are front seats behind the business class. You can check out immediately because it is close to the front door.

Practical: The seats behind the Super practical.

Simple: Other seats. (These seats are selected if you have not purchased prior class tickets)

Flynas Knee Distance

Because of the airlines who want to reduce the cost of flying more passengers, knee distance is very important especially on long haul flights. The front seats and emergency exit seats are the seats with the highest knee distance. It is generally sold for a fee.

Nasmiles Frequent Flyer Program

Flynas offers its customers a loyalty program under the name Nasmiles. The points earned are called SMILE points. Smile points offer the best seats, buy excess baggage and access to the Flynas waiting lounges at the airport.

Benefit from different status

You gain different status and benefits by winning smiles points. Bronze status at the first entrance. If you collect 20,000 Smiles points in a year, you’ll get Silver status. You need collect 40,000 Smiles points for in Gold and 80,000 Smiles points for Platinum status. Especially Gold and Platinum card holders can access the lounges and use priority check-in.

You can spend your Smile points on the partners of Flynas Airline;,,, Rocketmiles, AANI & DANI. In addition, Smile points are earned from purchases made from these partners.

Flynas Food & Beverage

Food service is not included in the fare if you have not received a Premium or Business class air ticket for Flynas airlines. In particular, passengers are allowed to bring their own food, snacks and beverages on domestic flights.

You can buy food such as cold and hot beverages (Starbucks coffee), snacks and chocolate in the plane.
