EasyJet is a British low-cost airline based in Luton. London-Luton is also the home airport of the company founded in 1995. easyJet was established in 1995 by Greek-Cypriot businessman Stelios Haji-Ioannou with two wet leased Boeing 737-200 aircrafts, initially operating two routes: London Luton to Glasgow and Edinburgh. In 1996, began its first international route to Amsterdam. Until 1997, there was no flight certificate.
In 1998, EasyJet bought 40% of the shares of the Swiss company TEA Basel, which, renamed EasyJet Switzerland, became its first subsidiary. Two years later, EasyJet entered the London Stock Exchange. Over the years, the success of the orange company has not been denied: destinations are multiplying and the fleet is growing.
The full name of Europe’s second largest low cost airline after Ryanair is easyJet Airline Company. The easyJet logo consists of an orange lettering on a white background. The fuselage of the aircraft is white, with the orange easyJet logo. The vertical tail is painted orange with white brand lettering. Until 2003 easyJet used Boeing machines, which have since been gradually replaced by Airbus aircraft. The same year, EasyJet bought the low-cost company Go, a subsidiary of British Airways, thus becoming the largest low-cost company in the world and europe. In 2005, the success continued: EasyJet carried its 100 millionth passenger and in 2014 won the prize for best low-cost airline at the Business Traveler Awards. In 2018, EasyJet will fly from Biarritz, Montpellier and Nice to Berlin-Tegel.
As of today, the fleet of easyJet 337 Airbuses was large with an average age of 7.9 years. The easyjet frequent flyer program is called Flight Club.
For people with fear of flying, easyJet offers a paid online course so that in the future they will not have to do without certain holiday destinations, distant business meetings or visits to relatives.

The cheapest way to fly at easyJet is with the standard tariff, which includes a piece of hand luggage in addition to the flight. Who is one of the FLEXI tariffswant to book, can check in free baggage allowance of 20 kg, benefit from Speedy Boarding and at some airports you go through the Fast Track security check. Additional options include an additional piece of hand luggage or a seat in the front of the aircraft.

The well-known low-cost airline Easy Jet also offers its passengers the opportunity to check in online. The EasyJet online check-in can be found directly on the company’s website. To check in online, the passenger needs their booking number. With this and with his last name he can start the process. All other steps are self-explanatory. At the end of the process, the passenger receives his boarding pass. This is simply printed out on an A4 sheet and shown at the gate.
Travelers with only hand luggage can go directly to the gate at the airport. Of course they have to go through security checks. You should allow enough time, because the boarding gate will be closed 30 minutes before the start.
If you have baggage to check in, you can use the special baggage drop desks. These close 40 minutes before the machine takes off. In Egypt, Jordan, Israel and Morocco they are closed 60 minutes before the start.
Mobile boarding pass
EasyJet is working to provide its passengers with mobile boarding passes for their smartphones so that printing is no longer necessary. You can find out whether the feature is already available on the airline’s website (www.easyjet.com).
Flight and passenger data change
Each time the passenger data is changed, the boarding pass must be reprinted. This also applies if something changes in the flight. If it is delayed, it is deleted or the passenger rebooks it, a new boarding pass must also be created. A new boarding pass must be printed even if the flight schedule changes. This also applies if the flight changes by only five minutes in the arrival and / or departure time.
Check-in start time
It can be used 30 days before the machine takes off. However, it should be done at the latest 2 hours before the start. It is practical that the airline sends a reminder email for online check-in. It is difficult to forget it and there is also a link in the email that leads you directly to Easy Jet’s online check-in.
Click the button below to check in online.
To check in at the airport, check the closing times of the check-in counter on the easyJet website. If you are not at the airport in time, you will not be able to board the plane and you will lose all your rights on the purchased flight ticket.
easyJet Baggage Allowance
As Easyjet is a low-cost carrier, hand baggage is the only baggage that can be carried free of charge under the baggage regulations. The dimensions for the luggage are 56 cm x 45 cm x 25 cm. The same applies to a carrier bag that was purchased in the gate area and is filled with products purchased there. Holders of an easyJet Plus card, passengers with a Flexi tariff or passengers who have booked a seat with plenty of legroom or at the very front can also take a small bag with the maximum dimensions of 40 x 36 x 20 cm on board.
Lifting baggage is always subject to the Easy Jet baggage fee regulations. The exact prices are shown as part of the online booking and change at regular intervals. The maximum size (height + width + length) must be less than 275 cm, the maximum weight is 20 kg. You have the opportunity to purchase extra kilograms. These prices can also be found on the Internet. Basically, it should be noted that when booking a ticket at the airport, more has to be paid for the checked baggage than when booking online. It is therefore advisable to always use Easyjet flights over the Internet.
Other luggage can also be checked in at Easyjet. Musical instruments, for example, which exceed the dimensions of 30 x 120 x 38 cm, must be handed in as checked baggage at the check-in counter. They are subject to the same fees as for other checked baggage. Sports equipment must always be registered in advance. When booking online, a fee of 45 euros (small sports equipment up to 20 kg: 40 euros) must be paid for a weight up to 32 kg, for an airport booking of 60 euros (or 50 euros).

easyJet Seat Selection
Seat reservations can be made for a fee directly when booking or at a later date in the easyJet app or on the website under “Manage booking”. Air travelers can choose between three categories: front row seats, front seats or above the wing, and other seats.
