Cathay Dragon Seat Selection
To make a comfortable trip with Cathay Dragon, you must choose the right seat. In general, if you want to travel in a good seat, you should choose your seat in advance and disregard some extra fees if necessary.
Cathay Dragon Knee Distance
Because of the airlines who want to reduce the cost of flying more passengers, knee distance is very important especially on long haul flights. The front seats and emergency exit seats are the seats with the highest knee distance. It is generally sold for a fee.
Asia Miles, The Marco Polo Club Frequent Flyer Program
For its most regular travelers, Cathay Dragon offers a loyalty program called “Marco Polo Club”. It has four membership levels (Green, Silver, Gold, and Diamond), each giving access to different benefits. The more flights the passengers fly with the company, the more they accumulate points exchangeable for various privileges such as excess baggage, but also priority boarding for all members or priority on waiting lists.
Cathay Dragon Food & Beverage
In cooperation with the parent company, Cathay airlines relies on a mix of Asian specialties and Western dishes for on-board catering. In all booking classes, meals and drinks are included in the price of the flight tickets. In Economy, for example, a fresh salad comes on the tray, followed by pork strips with jasmine rice, steamed chicken with mashed potatoes or, as a vegetarian option, pasta with roasted vegetables. House-style ice cream is often served for dessert, along with coffee and tea. It is possible to express special meal requests up to 24 hours before departure, such as food for children or babies, raw or diabetic food and religious rules such as kosher dishes.
From Business Class onwards, Cathay Dragon prides itself on attaching great importance to the accompanying wine with the meal. For example, a white wine is served with a tartare of tuna, with main dishes such as beef fillet with broccoli a red wine is more likely. Those who choose Hong Kong cuisine such as Asian salad and noodle soup (laksa) can try various Jin teas. For dessert, for example, a cheese platter, fresh fruit or ice cream are offered. In business, guests are already eating from porcelain.
When it comes to meals and snacks for First Class, Cathay Dragon often cooperates with award-winning chefs from all over the world and offers service à la carte. As a welcome on board, there is champagne and caviar in a blini, later a multi-course menu accompanied by selected wines at the desired time. For the international palate, tomato and basil soup, salad niçoise, fillet of Angus beef, grilled prawns and Italian pasta in the luxury version are on the menu. Fresh forest berries, French cheese and Belgian chocolate also round off the Chinese-Asian menu. Peanut soup with pork, Peking duck and other Chinese specialties tempt you to try something new.
Thanks to the close cooperation with Cathay Pacific, Cathay Dragon can offer more culinary options than a typical regional airline.
