About Binter Canarias
Founded in 1989, Binter Canarias is a Spanish company, specialist in the Canary Islands. Owned by Canarian private investors since 2002, it provides daily connections between the seven Canary Islands. Before 2002, the company belonged to Iberia. Binter Lineas Aéreas de Canarias was sold in 2002 by its first owner, Iberia, to Hesperia Inversiones Aéreas. Today it is owned by Ilsamar Tenerife 49.81%, Ferma Canarias Electrica 10.44%, Agencia Maritima Afroamericana 10.11%, Flapa 10% and other shareholders 19.6%.
It was in 2005 that the company opened up to the international market by launching flights to Marrakech, the Madeira Islands and even Paris and Milan. The company plans to further internationalize with numerous flights from Tenerife and Gran Canaria, which are among the five busiest airports in Spain. With an average of 3 million passengers transported each year, Binter Canarias is positioned as one of the most efficient regional airlines in Europe. It has also received three awards with ERA for this title.
Aware of the enormous potential of tourist activity on the Canary archipelago and the irregular supply of charters from European companies, Binter Canarias strives to make these islands more accessible and to offer regular service at a very competitive price. In addition, it is involved in a number of code-sharing agreements and maintains these relationships in order to benefit from an ever-expanding air network.
In 2019, it received the “Five Star” distinction awarded by the Official Guide Airline. Today, the company has a fleet of 27 aircraft operating on 20 regular destinations. Frequent flyers can benefit from the BinterMás program and book cheap flights.

Bintermás Frequent Flyer Program
With the Bintermás bonus program, the Canarian airline Binter Canarias offers numerous advantages for frequent flyers. There are three membership levels: green, silver and gold. You receive the green card when you register. The silver level is achieved with 2,500 points per year and the gold level with 8,000 points. Depending on the membership status, frequent flyers can exchange the points earned for rewards or free upgrades and thus benefit from interesting bonuses. The benefits are available, for example, in the form of preferred check-in or free baggage allowance. Further advantages are prioritized waiting positions and better service.
How the frequent flyer points are preserved?
Bintermás silver and gold cards have an expiry date, but are automatically renewed with the appropriate status. The cards are renewed in January, whereby the accumulated points of the last year are checked. As long as the passengers continue to achieve the required number of points, they can keep their bonus cards. The points will be credited to the customer account when booking a flight. Bintermás cooperates with partners such as Iberia, Melia and Iberostar Hotels & Resorts, so that it is also possible to collect or exchange points here.
