About All Nippon Airways
The company All Nippon Airways was founded on December 27, 1957 following the merger of two existing companies: the Nippon Helicopter and Airplane and the Far Eastern Airlines. From the 1960s, the company experienced a period of strong growth: it acquired its first jet planes and entered the Tokyo and Osaka stock exchanges. In 1963, All Nippon Airways merged with Fujita Airlines. In 1986, with the end of the monopoly on the operation of international flights, All Nippon Airways began its development outside the domestic market. In March 1986, it established its first international line to the island of Guam. Los Angeles and Washington follow a few months later. In 1999, the company became a member of the Star Alliance, of which a good number of Asian airlines were also members.
The events which disturbed the order of the world at the beginning of the 2000s had an influence on the frequentation of the airline company. But the beginning of the following decade was flourishing: line inaugurations and new connections were legion, which led All Nippon Airways to become, in 2016, the first global company to exceed 100,000 flights in the world. That same year, it was awarded the 5-star award for the fourth consecutive year by Skytrax. The frequent flyer program is the ANA Mileage Club.
The company has a large number of subsidiaries, the airlines it shares;
All Nippon Airways Hub Airports
Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND / RJTT)
Tokyo Narita International Airport (NRT / RJAA)
Osaka Itami Airport (ITM / RJOO)
Osaka Kansai International Airport (KIX / RJBB)

All Nippon Airways Seat Selection
Before customers complete the ticket purchase, they can book a seat on the digital cabin map. ANA Mileage Club Frequent Flyer Program
The ANA Mileage Club is All Nippon Airways’ frequent flyer program, in which members can earn miles through flights, purchases and partner programs and exchange them later – for example, for free, cheaper or better tickets. Miles can also be earned on the flights of other airlines for the ANA Mileage Club, for example with partner airlines of the Star Alliance such as Asiana Airlines, Air Canada, Lufthansa or Swiss. Even those who fly less often, but often stay in hotels or book rental cars, can earn many miles. There are miles for overnight stays in hotels in the Hilton chain or in ANA hotels.
Redeem accumulated miles
Anyone who has collected 5,000 miles can fly with ANA for free in Japan. International travel is free or cheaper from 12,000 miles. If you want to use another airline from the partner network in the ANA Mileage Club, you can do this free of charge from 15,000 miles. Upgrades are also possible from 12,000 miles – for example in Business Class or First Class. Alternatively, there is a voucher model, where the miles are converted into yen and can be redeemed at various partners.
All Nippon Airways Food & Beverage
There is a variety of meals that vary depending on the flight. On each flight, passengers are offered two options: one with meat and one with fish. In addition, there is always a salad, two appetizers and a dessert.
On long-haul flights, passengers are also served breakfast: there is basically a choice between breakfast with rice porridge or with scrambled eggs. Meals are served in economy containers in plastic containers.
In addition to economy catering, passengers receive a pasta dish, soup, as well as alcoholic beverages and dessert from Business Class. Meals are also served in premium economy class in plastic containers.
In Business Class there are menu cards with both Japanese and international dishes. There are starters, soups, main meals and dessert to choose from. In addition to the planned meals, passengers can also order from a special card for “light meals at any time”. In business class, dishes are served on porcelain.
The First Class is served similarly to the Business Class, but has a larger selection of dishes on all menus. Porcelain dishes are also used in First Class.
In addition to the standard meals, ANA also offers a variety of special meals for passengers with special requests. So you can reserve different vegetarian and vegan meals before departure, as well as religious meals (Muslim, Kosher, or Hindu) and dietary meals (diabetic, low in sodium, low in calories, low in cholesterol, unseasoned, gluten-free, low in lactose, as well as meals with fruits or only with seafood ). The large selection of special meals is very positive at ANA.
All meals (including special requests) are included in the flight price of the ANA airline and do not cost extra.
