About Air Zimbabwe
Air Zimbabwe is the national airline of Zimbabwe and the largest airline in the South African country. Air Zimbabwe was founded in 1967 and privatized in 1997. The hub is in the capital of Zimbabwe, Harare. In addition to scheduled flights, charter flights are also operated.
As the most important airline in Zimbabwe, which is also active in the cargo sector, Air Zimbabwe has made a decisive contribution to the development of tourism and the economy in the country and in southern Africa. On long-haul flights there are usually two on-board classes: Economy Class and Business Class. Passengers can choose between different menus. This also includes traditional, local dishes.
The majority of Air Zimbabwe’s route network is made up of other African countries such as Kenya, Angola and Tanzania. There are four destinations outside the continent: Johannesburg, Kuala Lumpur, Beijing and London. Passengers should note that the baggage limit on flights to the British capital, unlike other long-haul economy class flights, is 20 kg rather than 30 kg.
Air Zimbabwe Check-in
Online and mobile check-in is not possible with the airline. It is currently not known whether Air Zimbabwe is expanding the check-in options. For more information, see the airline’s website.
To check in at the airport, check the closing times of the check-in counter on the Air Zimbabwe website. If you are not at the airport in time, you will not be able to board the plane and you will lose all your rights on the purchased flight ticket.

Air Zimbabwe Seat Selection
To make a comfortable trip with Air Zimbabwe, you must choose the right seat. In general, if you want to travel in a good seat, you should choose your seat in advance and disregard some extra fees if necessary.
Air Zimbabwe Knee Distance
Because of the airlines who want to reduce the cost of flying more passengers, knee distance is very important especially on long haul flights. The front seats and emergency exit seats are the seats with the highest knee distance. It is generally sold for a fee.
Rainbow Club Frequent Flyer Program
The Rainbow Club is a miles or points system of the airline Air Zimbabwe through which you as a member have the opportunity to take advantage of some discounts and thus through a simple registration. Points can only be earned on Air Zimbabwe flights.
There are three different levels with different privileges to choose from
There are three different membership levels in the Rainbow Club. These include Qualifier, Skyhigh and Premium. As a qualifier, you only benefit from the possibility of converting your flight miles into discount points. Anyone who flies at least 21,000 miles per year with the airline will be accepted as a Skyhigh member in the Rainbow Club. Then you benefit as with the premium membership, which provides for the collection of 100,000 miles per year, in addition to taking advantage of a discount on free baggage or travel awards. Lounge visits can only be used free of charge as a Skyhigh member. The miles also expire after two years.
