About Air Arabia
When Air Arabia launched in October 2003, it was the first airline in the Middle East and North Africa to serve the low-cost segment. The headquarters are located in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates and serve as hubs for Sharjah International Airport (Sharjah), Mohamed V. International Airport (Casablanca) and Borg El Arab International Airport (Alexandria). The airline is a member of the Arab Air Carriers Organization.
In 2004, the company received its first Airbus A-320s and served 16 destinations. In 2005, one million passengers transported was reached. Building on this surge, eight destinations have been added to the low-cost company’s travel book. In 2006, Air Arabia launched its AcelAero reservations system. Over the years, the company has established itself a little more in the air transport landscape: in 2007, its network covered around 37 destinations and 34 Airbus A320s completed its fleet.
The year 2009 marks a turning point for the airline with the creation in April of Air Arabia Maroc and Air Arabia Egypt in September.Six years later, the airline’s loyalty program, AirRewards, was born, rewarding the most regular travelers. The same year, the company created a new subsidiary: Air Arabia Jordan, which specialized in air charter.In 2019, Air Arabia’s turnover is around $ 550 million. The airline continues to expand around the world, attracting more and more travelers both for its advantageous prices and for the quality of its services. In June 2020, the fleet consisted of 39 A320-200s and 4 A321neos that operate cheap flights to and from Europe, Africa, the Middle, Middle and Far East.
On a flight with Air Arabia, the Sky Café provides passengers with food and drinks, from light snacks to hot meals on long-haul flights. Air Arabia does not try to compensate for the cheap airfares with overpriced catering. On an Air Arabia flight, passengers also have the option to buy accessories, watches, jewelry, perfumes and sweets in the Sky Mall. Air Arabia’s frequent flyer program is called Airewards.

From Sharjah, flights go to Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Europe. Air Arabia has local subsidiaries in Morocco and Egypt that fly to other hubs from Casablanca and Alexandria, respectively. More branches are planned.

Air Arabia Check-in
At Air Arabia, passengers can check in at the counter as well as online and on the go.
Air Arabia offers the modern check-in option with online check-in. Passengers who would like to take advantage of this practical offer can find the item “Manage your booking” on the Air Arabia website. Check-in takes place after you have given your name, booking number, flight number, departure airport and flight date. After confirming the entered data, the boarding pass can be printed out.
In addition, since 2013, passengers have been able to check in using their smartphones. This is done via a website optimized for iOS and Android phones.
Check-in start time
Starting from 12 hours before the flight and continues until 60 minutes prior the scheduled flight.

The check-in counters at the airport open three hours before departure and close one hour before departure. Earlier check-in is also possible at some selected airports. If you want to avoid long waiting times at check-in, you can also use city check-in in Sharjah, Dubai and Ras Al Khaima right in the center, which is possible from 24 hours to three hours before departure.
Air Arabia Baggage Allowance
At Air Arabia, travelers can take 10 kg of hand luggage free of charge. The hand luggage must not exceed the maximum dimensions of 55 x 40 x 20 cm. For small children, a bag must be carried on board, with items needed for the flight. For the transport of liquids it is important that these are packed in individual packages with a max. Volume of 100 ml. These packagings shall be kept in a resealable, one liter plastic bag with a maximum size of 20 x 20 cm.
When booking the flight, the weight of the luggage to be transported can be selected individually with fee (20, 30 or 40 kg). There is no limit on the number of luggage. The maximum weight per bag is 32 kg and the maximum size is 160 cm (L + B + H). It is forbidden to carry inflammable, toxic, radioactive or corrosive substances in the luggage.

Air Arabia Seat Selection
Air Arabia offers its passengers four options for seat reservations: online, by phone, at one of the sales locations or through the respective tour operator. Passengers wishing to reserve a seat online should do so using the form on the airline’s website. In addition, travelers can select their seats by phone via the call center or reserve them at one of the sales locations. Passengers who booked their flight through a tour operator should choose their seat directly from the provider. The Arab airline currently makes no statements regarding the allocation of XL seats. Air Arabia Knee Distance
Because of the airlines who want to reduce the cost of flying more passengers, knee distance is very important especially on long haul flights. The front seats and emergency exit seats are the seats with the highest knee distance. It is generally sold for a fee.
Air Rewards Frequent Flyer Program
